“Me and my friend’s family went on a vacation to Barnard Castle when we noticed that the lower bumper/engine cover underneath our Qashqai car had come loose, causing scratching and noise while driving on the village roads.

I searched on Google for the nearest garage and found Vere Road Garage. We took the car there and explained the issue. John and Kelly immediately helped us and fixed the problem within 30 minutes, even though we did not have an appointment.

When I asked how much I needed to pay, John kindly said there was no charge at all. We were truly impressed by his willingness to help. In the end, we insisted on giving him a small token of appreciation, although he was reluctant to accept it.

It is very difficult these days to find such a genuine and helpful garage. I was so impressed with their honesty and kindness that I have decided to take my car there for its next full service and MOT, even though I live near Manchester.

Part of the town

We've run a Christmas raffle at the garage with all proceeds going to Barnard Castle Clique, and sold tickets for The Clique Charity's 50th celebration on the rugby fields. If there's a fundraiser on, pop in and buy a strip.
